Fewer homes for sale in Edmonton led to a rise in prices at the end of 2024, with the average price for detached homes increasing by 10.6% to $540,232. Apartment condos saw a 19.8% jump, while semi-detached and row/townhouses rose by 12.3%. The average days on the market decreased from 71 to 55, indicating a supply issue. Increased demand from buyers, including those migrating from Calgary, has contributed to the market's challenges. Total sales volume rose by 37% to $14.5 billion, benefiting sellers.
